The Operational Controller of the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Ebenezer Lumban Tobing, said that the activity was carried out as a quick response to reports from the public who felt disturbed and uneasy due to the presence of illegal parking at the location.

"Along with the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and other agencies, we are enforcing regulations on activities that disrupt the surrounding community. Therefore, this is a complaint from local residents," he said, Tuesday (7/21).

He explained that in addition to confiscating 16 motor vehicles, personnel also confiscated 13 cones and four valet signs. All of these items were then taken to the Melawai Urban Village Office.

"Four illegal street vendors were also chased away by Public Order Agency personnel. They were advised to sell at their proper locations," he explained.

His party will continue to respond quickly to public complaints and will also monitor locations where illegal parking is suspected.

Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Dimas (35) appreciated the efforts of joint personnel in creating a more orderly and less chaotic environment due to illegal parking.

"Hopefully, those who park illegally will be deterred and will care more about the surrounding environment," he hoped.
